My law practice has been grounded in trying to right wrongs for consumers and other tort victims. Day to day this means I have worked on matters of complex litigation and social justice including antitrust, class action, fair wage and hour claims (FLSA), intellectual property, mass torts, and defective product cases among others. My clients have included individuals, businesses and government entities, and incarcerated juveniles among others. Whether taking depositions, writing briefs, plotting strategic external advocacy, triaging mass quantities of discovery, or appearing in court, I am passionate about getting to the root of the story to achieve justice. I am proud to affiliate with Seikaly, Stewart & Bennett, PC on a case by case basis.
But that’s not the whole story. I am fortunate to have had many great opportunities throughout my career.
Among other things, I have worked as a reporter, communications director, staffer on more than 14 political campaigns, fundraiser, and event planner. Immediately prior to law school, I was the Chief of Staff at the former New Jersey Office of the Child Advocate where we worked towards systemic reform and improvements in New Jersey’s youth care systems – including juvenile justice, behavioral health, and the foster care system.
I have always been active in whatever community I am a part of – this has led me to serve in various leadership positions, work for a federal judge Southern District of Illinois, spend ten weeks in Sub-Saharan Africa with a non-governmental organization, work as a public defender in San Diego, and successfully compete nationally in preeminent law school trial competitions.
Although I grew up in Capac, Michigan I have lived and worked around the country and made countless friends along the way. I still work all over the United States, but I currently live in downtown Detroit and love being part of the renewal of my home city.
